No, Lego is not Lego anymore. They shouldn't have made the themed series and not all those special bricks that been released since I grew 'to old' to build. The ferry specials is as far as they should have gone with mixing in other brand names.
The old Duplo, Lego and Technics was great. There where limited shapes and forms and we had to use our imagination to bring the things to life. I read in Wired about the community created new NXT range, and it looks like it could save the Technics and all-age part of Lego, but the old Lego mid-range bricks is doing bad.
BTW: Got here through Google Video and the rocket launcher thing. Cool :) Last thing I built was the Space Shuttle which is still at my parents
